About Warismatika
Warismatika exists to help keep the science of Islamic inheritance (faraidh) alive and flourishing — a vital science, governing the property rights most prone to family dispute, yet studied by fewer and fewer people. This site offers four complete learning paths and a calculator that shows its evidence on every row.
In preparing this material, we were assisted by AI to research and translate the Arabic source books. The references are explicit and cited in every chapter — four principal books form the backbone of this site:
- Tashil al-Faraidh — Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymin (with ash-Sharh al-Mumti')
- At-Tahqiqat al-Mardhiyyah fil-Mabahits al-Fardhiyyah — Shaykh Salih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan (with al-Mulakhkhash al-Fiqhi)
- Matn ar-Rahbiyyah (Bughyat al-Bahits 'an Jumal al-Mawarits) — Muhammad ibn Ali ar-Rahabi
- Adhwa' al-Bayan fi Idhah al-Qur'an bil-Qur'an — Shaykh Muhammad al-Amin ash-Shinqiti
The full source lists — including links to the books' texts, the verses, and the hadiths — live in each path's references page.
Everything on this site is learning material, not a fatwa. For an actual inheritance division, always ask the people of knowledge — the ustadhs and mashayikh of Ahlus-Sunnah near you. This site is only here so we can learn together.
On intention
Before going any further, we remind ourselves and our readers of the importance of intention: "Deeds are only according to intentions" (Bukhari no. 1, Muslim no. 1907). Learning and teaching faraidh is not for boasting or debate, but in hope of Allah's pleasure, and to protect people's rights from injustice.
And we hope this site — together with everyone who learns from it and then teaches it — is written down as an ongoing charity (amal jariyah): "When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except three: an ongoing charity, knowledge that continues to benefit, or a righteous child who prays for him" (Muslim no. 1631). May Allah accept it, set our intentions right, and forgive whatever mistakes remain.
