Every claim in this bundle can be traced to the sources below. Primary sources = two works by al-Fawzan; online fatwas confirm the tarjih attribution at points of dispute.
Primary sources (works by Salih al-Fawzan)
- Salih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan, At-Tahqiqat al-Mardhiyyah fil-Mabahits al-Fardhiyyah — the bundle’s main source. Originally a master’s thesis at the Faculty of Sharia, Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University, supervised by Shaykh Abd ar-Razzaq Afifi; published by Maktabah al-Ma’arif, Riyadh (3rd printing, 1407 AH/1986 CE, 297 pp.). The tarjih on the grandfather-with-siblings question is at pp. 135–140.

Confirmation of attribution at points of dispute
- IslamQA (Arabic) no. 240582 — inheritance of the grandfather with siblings — lays out the two opinions and places al-Fawzan (at-Tahqiqat pp. 135–140) alongside Ibn Baz and Ibn Uthaymin on the “siblings excluded by the grandfather” side: https://islamqa.info/ar/answers/240582
- IslamQA (Arabic) no. 496015 — al-Mushtarakah/al-Himariyyah — history and weighing of the opinions: https://islamqa.info/ar/answers/496015
Comparison (chapter 13)
- Warismatika’s twin bundle: Inheritance Calculation According to Ibn Uthaymin — Tashil al-Faraidh and ash-Sharh al-Mumti’, with its own reference list.
- Kompilasi Hukum Islam (KHI) (Indonesia’s Compilation of Islamic Law) — Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 1991, Book II (Inheritance Law) — the reference used by Indonesia’s Religious Courts.
Methodological note
- The rules for fixed shares/‘asabah/hajb/‘awl/radd/tashih are drawn from sources 1–2 and primary texts 4–7; these rules are agreed upon across madhhabs and so match the twin bundle.
- The grandfather chapters (08, 11) present the madhhab system as at-Tahqiqat teaches it, then al-Fawzan’s tarjih with page-level attribution (sources 1, 8) — the two are kept explicitly distinct in the text.
- The currency figures in the case studies are invented illustrations for practice purposes.
